Favors

It has been a while since we made and sent these adorable treats to school with Parker for her Valentine's Day at school, but they ARE the perfect treat for any "favor situation".
...and of course, I had to send her to school in something festive for the occasion so here she is posing (not) for me.  She didn't want to take a picture as you can see by the look on her precious face.

The Latest Tank

I love Faded Glory things from Wal-Mart. They wash well keeping their color and shape PLUS they are so cost effecient. I embellished a FG tank for a friend to give as a gift. I think it turned out really cute. I hope she does as well.

Things I have done since last post - long, long ago

I have been one busy mom/teacher since February. See a few things that I have made or created in the spare moments that I have had.
This is the ad that I made for Parker's dance recital program.

Banquet Invite that I created for the Hawkettes

Sierra & Parker at one of Sierra's drill team competitions

Two pillow cases I made for a friend to give to her nieces for graduation.

We found Sierra a first car from a wonderful family in Midlothian.  She loves it and is a great driver.

A tank I embellished for a birthday present - I, of course, had to make one for Parker as this was for one of her best little friends.  They turned out so cute!

Hope you had a Happy Valentines Day

We had a restful day here at the Shields house for Valentines Day.  The kids got a simple favorite.  Parker loved her My Little Pony Color/Sticker book with twist up crayons.  Colton is still loving his Reeces Peanut Butter Hearts...he likes to make blizzards with them.  Sierra is staying warm in the adorable cupcake lounge pants that she got.  Mike got me some DKNY Be Delicious perfume - I do love it!  I made Chicken Fried Steak Fingers - Mike's favorite on Saturday evening...enjoyed by all - including myself.  I then tried the Pioneer Woman's Simple Valentine idea for dinner last night.  Simple for her maybe, but anyway...we had spaghetti with red sauce and shrimp (I had to devein - ick), a ceaser salad with homemade croutons (they were delicious & so easy to make), & roasted garlic to spread on our french bread.  It really was a good Valentines Day Dinner and cost much less than the Olive Garden.

I just couldn't bear to put up my lighted trees on the front porch, so I decorated them for Valentines.
I love them..they just make me happy!  You will see them soon for Easter.

Too CUTE Not to Post...

The Cutest Sous Chef Ever

I love the enthusiasm my Parker Faith has when she wants to help cook.  She helped make the cornbread for the blackeyed peas and the noodles for Colton tonight.  Isn't she the cutest 3 year old sous chef ever and what a big help...thank you ParkerBear!
